Michele De Lucchi an Italian designer born in 1951, belongs to a group of designers, who during the design phenomenon of the 1980s aimed to break new ground. In rejecting the prevailing restraint and conventional good taste of Modernism, De Lucchi and Co set about to create furniture with a sense of wit, provocation, originality and vitality, which provided a refreshing new take on furniture, textiles and design.
