A timeless lightning masterpiece, the Arco Floor Lamp is perhaps the most famous and recognisable lamp ever produced. Designed by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1962, it is both aesthetically pleasing as well as being a highly functional lighting apparatus.
The beauty of this lamp is that it provides for overhead light without the need for ceiling suspensions. Supported by an ultra heavy duty solid white Carrara marble base, the lamp is composed of a semicircular arch ("Arco" in Italian) made of three tubular stainless steel parts, and an adjustable shade in polished steel, with perforated circles for diffusing the light. A foot switch can be found at the base of the lamp, for ease of use.
