Introducing the artist - Harvey Rayner's Bio:

For the last 15 years Uk based artist and web developer Harvey Rayner has been experimenting with using geometry to create digital art in a project called Root2Art. Harvey says, "The geometry in my work is not there to structure additional content, it is the actual fabric and subject of the work".

In 2006 Harvey complied a small collection of patterns as an offshoot to his art. What started as a whim slowly grew into an online pattern resource called patterncooler.com. "This project brings together my love of geometry, art and coding, plus the online editor allows users to inject their own creativity into the mix".

About his working day Harvey says, "Spending as much time as I do working in front of a monitor, a healthy balance of running, rock climbing, playing tennis and especially Zen meditation is essential for me in maintaining my inspiration, energy and clarity. I think if it were not for these more natural activities away from my PC, my skin would turn grey and my eyes would be out on stalks, just like a snail... LOL"
